I’m a Luddite, so I still use USB to my DAC. I bought a cheap Douk Audio USB to SPDIF converter and liked it enough to step up to the SU-6. I liked all the outputs from the SU-6, I read the reviews, and I thought it would be a final addition to my digital chain.

I’ll be going USB > SU-6 > SPDIF (BNC) > Gungnir MB (BNC) > Khozmo Passive(s) > Rotel RB-1582 MkII, Auralic Taurus MkII, Parasound 2125v2, Quicksilver HA

Nothing exciting, but if anyone has any “before you start” or “do this right away” advice, I’m happy to receive and to listen.

I just bought an amazing usb cable. and my su-6. will not stay connected with the usb cable. It's a shunyata. delta usb cable. Why. If I hook up a cheap usb cable. it works.


the Shunyata and the su-6 sound so better but only stay connected. for a couple of minutes

Best replace the USB cable, it could be the cable itself…

Yes I unplug the su-6. and waited until the light went out. How do I check the firmware on the su-6 just to be sure im up to date on the su-6 firmware. Or has there only been one firmware.

This is so dissapointing. The su-6 sounds so much better than schiit. audio's. unison usb protocol. The shunyata. delta usb cable sounds amazing. But the pair just dont want to work together.

I just ran the shunyata delta usb into my Yiggy. never looses connection. Im at a loss. I like how much better the su-6 sounds. but if it won't stay connected.

I dont think it's the su-6. I tried a gustard u12. failed. a shirt either. usb. converter. failed. but. the shunyata delta. into my yiggy. works. I just dont get it

OK I will admit I am actually completely stupid on this issue. I did not know there was such a control panel device. I use my SU six on a Mac mini. Do I have to do this on a PC and where do I find the program?

I just got my SU-6. Downloaded drivers, and my PC recognized it. Using JRiver Media Center > USB > SU-6 >BNC > Gungnir MB > Quicksilver Headphone Amp > K601.

So far, so good.

No the control panel requires the Windows driver. On Mac there is no such thing just defaults.
