When im modding the Singxer SU 1 with this:

https://www.ebay.com.hk/itm/323284909987

which Powersupply do i need for europe how much volt and ampere? im a bit confused becaude ifi does offer multiple choices. Also do you recommend 2.1mm oder 2.5mm?
Go with a good quality 5VDC power supply capable to deliver more than 1.5A of current. DC input plug either 2.1 or 2.5mm will work, but 2.1mm is more common in DC cable selections.

If you are comfortable with changing surface mount devices, replacing the stock 3.3VDC regulator can yield additional improvements. Note, on the SU-1 circuit board, there is an LD1086 3-terminal regulator receiving +5V from the internal power supply and generating +3.3V to power the downstream side electronics. Only one tiny chip related to one of the outputs is fed +5V directly. All other ICs on that side of the moat run off the +3.3V from the regulator. Same for the two Crystek CCHD-575 oscillators.

Replacing the internal LPS is a good move, but leaving that LD1086 regulator untouched on the circuit board means that this regulator can become the limiting factor in overall power supply performance of the SU-1. This is why it is recommended replacing that LD1086 with a discrete super regulator such as http://sparkoslabs.com/product/ss1117xx-discrete-voltage-regulator/.

I use either an Uptone LPS-1.2 or LPS-1. They are quite expensive but I think they are worth it. If you’re lucky you can get your hands on a cheaper second hand LPS-1. It has a standard DC out jack and you can use a European power cord for the 230V.

Since you’re in Germany they have a nice Allo Nirvana SMPS Low Noise psu 5v at Audiophonics.fr
I have one of those for my Emu0404 and I can recommend it.

I also recommend swapping the voltage regulators as mentioned above either with a Sparkos Labs or an equivalent NewClassD

Personally I have installed the NewClassD reg in my Singxer. Recommended.

regards, Sebastian

Thank you. Do you know what changes it brings?

I am considering upgrading from the SU1 to either a newer DDC or adding an external master clock.

Does anyone have any experience with adding an external clock to the SU1?

It will cost about $350 for a new clock, but that same $350 plus selling my SU1 (with Ghent psu mod) gets me a variety of DDCs...

I want buy SU-2 and external clock, here measurements
Don't really sure it's audible, but I still do.

Does the Singxer SU-1 allow volume control by the OS' internal system volume fader, when connected via USB to a Mac?

(Meaning: Would I be able to control its volume in macOS/OS X with e.g. my Apple keyboard shortcuts? I think this is called USB HID volume control.)
