I want to apologize for being the fuel for that nasty fire that's happening between cash and Wmcmanus. I didn't realize Wmcmanus's level of experience with everything. Being new to the form, i saw INSANELY expensive speakers with no knowledge of the owner and think to myself "oh he's a rich guy using them as bragging rights or doesn't know what he has and how much the sound can be improved".
I see now it was silly to even comment on something like that. If someone can find those incredible components and put them all together like that, he has to know one hell of alot about what he is doing!! I wouldn't even know where to start when trying to find good matches for those speakers!

So again, i sincerely apologize, i kinda took it like u were bragging....envy i guess lol

I hear the digital room correction systems are dam good! You could get big gains in SQ i bet! This is a great solution when you lack infinite money for a "perfect room". Haha

I absolutely love that horn. I sold an actual '54 Mark VI for one.

What exactly sound like a sax IRL?

EDIT: I've read what I posted, and it's vague. What I mean is, what makes a horn sound more or less lifelike, as it was never digital. Like, what is it lifelike compared to? A hummingbird?

probably the M³ amp because of the experimental parts during development, and because it's essentially priceless as it took so long to make and is customised to the sound I wanted...

total actual price including parts tried (e.g. opamps, transformers, capacitors) is somewhere between $600 and $900... I really lost track of the costs after the first couple parts orders, and cost really wasn't really an important factor

AMB ß24 Power Amp.

The electrical parts and heatsink alone ran over $900. I haven't bought any parts to fabricate the chassis.

Also included in this cost should be several dozen hours of design time (mechanical and layout) and several dozen more hours of soldering, wiring, building and testing (not yet performed).
