I have "Shure SRH440" the Ear Cushions are on there last legs.
 
Im looking to replace them with the ones that are on the "Shure SRH840" Replacement Ear Cushions   - -  HPAEC840

The pads of the 840's fit well on the 440's.

Yes, you are right. Thats why people use 840 pads on their 440's..more comfort.

My pad arrived today
 
There are very comfortable even the mesh fiber between the speaker and you ears.
Sound isolation is indeed better which in turn makes the sound is richer

I found they also increase the bass a surprising amount. The SRH440's with 840 pads are actually much much bassier than the stock SRH840s. On certain songs, it's Ultrasone like. Whoever said SRH440's were bass deficient definitely didn't have 840 pads on them.

Are shure srh840 earpads deeper than 440 earpads? this is because my 440 earpads are incredibly shallow which make me feel so uncomfortable when my ears toucing the cover that protecting the driver

The pads are maybe 3/4 inches deep on my 840s. They compress a bit when you put them on.

I don't own the 440s. I took a rough estimate of the "deepness" of my 840 pads so you could look at your 440 pads and tell if they might be deeper. IMO looking at them I don't think/know if the 840 pads will get your ears off the driver.
