The real question is why would you bother.  Concentrate instead on getting a good master copy.  Redbook (16/44.1) is more than sufficient.

I'd say get the UE 900... they won't disappoint you... by the way, if you want something rather neutral, the same priced Heir Audio 4.Ai would be great, especially for a starter...

Honestly, UE900 is very good.

I'm really torn between the SE-535 CL Westone 4R and UE900 The UE900 is the most expensive option for me right now (The 535 + Westone can be had for much cheaper. Specifically the 4R). I currently have the SE-215. My ears are really sensitive to treble/sibalance. 
 
For the price, I'm thinking the Westone 4R sounds like my best bet. But I'm also afraid that it's a boring headphone (when I hear flat/neutral, I think bland). Then again, I love the SE-215, and I think those have a similiar sound?

SE535 would be the most similar to SE215. But I really can't tell if you will find the 4R boring. You should try to demo them.

Yea guys I'm not getting any of the abovementioned iems anymore. I seriously underestimated my budget. So I'm opting for the Etymotic Research ER4-PT instead.

ER4 are a great choice too. Just know that they are going to be flatter than any iems listed on this tread.

Where are you located? If in Asia, you can pretty much find a store in almost all countries... If not, sorry.
 
But if you loved SE215, I can guess that you are going to love the SE535 as well.
