Shure SE535 ear piercing highs

I just got my 535s to replace the 530s which had a broken cable I soldered back together, but that will not last long as it is going in another places, and also the other rubber part are falling of regularly, they had it. There is quite a lot fo change to my ear, the 535s are a lot more forward, mids and highs more pronounced, and a wider soundstage, definitively. the fit is also very different, I can not get the 535s to make a good seal, so I am missing out on a lot of bass that they can produce, if I hold them with my fingers against the ear....maybe I should fix my 530s, as the bass blows the 535s out of the water, as it is....so if you can get the right fit (my ears are small, channels included) they should beat the 530 in many aspects, and it is a different listening experience as the soundstage is wider, better defined and the mids/highs are even more present, live recordings e.g. sound a lot more "live"
