I think burn-in on balanced armature IEM's is more a matter of your brain acclimating to the particular sound signature, than actual physical change to the equipment.

Hence, you find Ety fans finding eventual solace in technically accurate bass, and e5 devotee's ferreting out a possibly overwhelmed high end.

I think Raisin makes a good observation. Neither is perfect and nearly polar oposites as far as their sound signatures. Pick your poison.
