Last week I got sick of my E500's cables. You know, the heat treated curved ones.
I bent them back and forth to see if they'd get softer. They did.. and they cracked, exposing innards.

Sent them back to Shure for replacement, and a 4 days and $145 later I got a 530.

I was secretly hoping for the new 535, because the agent on the phone said they had a 'new design'.
Apparently, it was that they stopped heat forming the cables. Now I no longer have to curve them behind my ears.

And it was well worth the trouble (though I am pissed off for having had to pay $145 plus shipping). Now I like using my Shure IEMs.
