Wayyyyy better

That's a way too short way to put things. I agree, but it's still too short, some people might be curious what are the actual differences

This being said, I haven't owned either of the IEMs mentioned so I don't know what to say really.

Yeah this is it pretty much and even in resolution I think it has both beat by a big margin. Soundstage is also bigger with the Shozy

I beg to differ, to my ears these two has nothing more in common than making sound. Ymmw......

I only have the original pistons 2.1 to compare and find the shozy way more refined, detailed and balanced than the pistons, while certainly keeping an engaging and fun sound signature.

Still wondering how much difference there is between the early and retail versions. I have the pre-retail. I'll probably get another one some time in the future just to appease my curiosity.

early has no chin slider and is less bassy

Which IEM do you think would be next level upgrade from Shozy Zero?

It would be brilliant to find one that's reasonably priced, carries smoothly balanced tonal signature, and has even more detail without fatigue.

Furthermore, this should be taking into the account of Zero's price around $60.
Therefore, the upgrade should be justifiably better for its higher price.

Probably have a look at Westone`s UM Pro line. I own the UM 50 Pro and briefly tested the UM 30 Pro; they seem to have a similar tone, enhanced bass, warm mids and crisp high end, plus the ergonomics are fantastic. Otherwise, if you don`t mind earbuds, Shozy`s own Cygnus is a great buy and stays true to the Shozy analogue house sound.

Westones are gonna be a few times more expensive compared to the Shozy Zeros thought. But i really like the fit of those.

I currently own the Shozy Zeros and im thinking of getting myself a LZ-A2s or a higher end TK13 or 12S since i like the removable cable system

Ryanjsoo, thank you for suggesting them and sharing your thoughts on their features.

However, as chompchomps mentioned, Westone UM 30 Pro costs close to $400 and almost 5x - 6x as what Shozy Zero costs.
This would mean that there are no viable upgrade from Shozy Zeros between $60 to $400 range and UM 30 Pro is justifiably better.

It would be interesting for us to find an upgrade that's in the similar sub-$100 budget like those mentioned in this thread.
