Droooling..... I'm thinking heavily towards getting an ma6600 integrated amp come end of year bonus season to replace my very very well used and dependable Nad320Bee amp. Quite a chunk of change, but.... The tuner option seems to make it one hell of a receiver....

I had a mc2100 and c26 combo years ago, and turned down another mc2105 last week... because I am looking for a mc240, or mc275. I heard a recapped mc240 a couple of weeks ago (even with cheap JJ) and it sounded spectacular. I forgot how much I missed it. There is also a MA6100 local with the wood case, but, I want tubes, specifically Mullard xf2... again.

The Mc275 is a winner IMO.  If you can hear it, do so.  It's a classic piece.

My favorite gear out there. I miss having it in my home (father took it all ~10 years ago). I just don't have the scratch right now to even think about a Mcintosh set up of my own right now, but I want one...

I was able to pick up a MC2105 and C28 for a great price a few years back.  I still have to get it looked over and lights replaced but it sounds great with my Klipsch.

I am considering buying a new system to listen to music in the office:
- Mainly pop, rock, progressive and some jazz.
- I may listen to CDs or SACDs but I will mostly input lossless files from a MacBookAir via USB. Files resolution is CD quality and above.
- I will only use headphones (no speakers) mostly Grado RS1i (alternatively Beyerdynamic T1).

I would like to try McIntosh and identified the MCD1100 model that seems to cover all my needs in a single box.

Alternatively I could consider a C50 which is cheaper but it's not clear if it will deliver the same experience (beyond the obvious lack of CD reader which is not dramatic to me). Does it have the same DAC as the MCD1100 and is capable of processing high res files inputed via USB? Is the headphone amp the same?

I am really trying to find a McIntosh solution but there are obvious alternatives from other manufacturers as the Weiss 202. Feel free to suggest what you think it's the higher quality solution up to 12K€ / 15K$.
