Didn't the designer get fired for it? Too bad BMW won't do that with Bangle...(Though I do like the 7 series, hence the avatar)

Wasn't the designer of the new look of the '06 STI from Peugeot or Renault or something like? Or am I getting it confused with another car company?

When the GD8A came out, it reminded me too much of the Dodge Neon. The back looked too much like a Hyundai Elantra. The blacked out headlights....are you talking about the JDM headlights?

whoever they is hasnt really given both a good go

theyre both peaky turbo 4's, one of which offers a little less comfort for a bit more outright speed, but really its all much of a muchness. they are both at the end of the day fantastic track cars, but not all that comfortable to drive in traffic and around streets...thats what a nice big V8 with leather etc is for

So is that meant to be a 2.5 naturally aspriated RS, or a 2.5 turbo, or 2L turbo?

Because subaru have only recently been putting the 2.5l in turbo form havent they? as in last 6 months to a year?

it looks like a MY99/MY00 2 door 2L turbo STi, fairly limited production and esp to the US, I assume you got it grey imported?

The 2.5RS from 1998-2001 was deprieved of a turbo for the U. S. models. The 1998 models were actually DOHC, but there were issues with the crankshaft or something like that and from 1999 and up, they switched it to SOHC. The only turbo Impreza that we actually had was the GC8A.

Ah, I wasn't too crazy about them. The JDM headlamps were like $600 for one. They looked really nice, but too expensive.

Here's what we didn't get in the states: the 22b STi. This thing is awesome..I'd rather have one than a Skyline.

Top view, you can see the much wider stance with the flared out axles.

I love my car but I wish I had the money to either do a WRX swap or turbo kit. The problem is the compression and the block won't handle much boost if you don't build the engine.

Here's a car that will look extremely familiar to all of you in the US....an Acura 1.7EL. It's essentially a really loaded Civic, with the VTEC engine and some interior upgrades. Mine is the "touring" model which is probably close to Honda's EX trim level. The "premium" has leather, heated seats, etc...

It's a 2001 with 57,000km, which would be less than 30,000 miles. I'm not quite sure if I'm happy or sad about the fact that I won't have an excuse to buy a new car for the next 10 years or so, given how little I actually drive.

It's not a firebreathing race car, but the 1.6 litre, 110hp diesel engine is willing

Stick shift, of course

The family car is a 14-year-old BMW E36 320i of which I don't have a picture, but the engine has blown the head gasket and needs a replacement
