How well do they pair with the C9 ?

They scale well. As with most things I pair with the C9 the signature becomes tighter, slightly cooler (compared to M8 alone) and stage wider which subsequently improves imaging.

How does it sound? This seems to be another IEM it's hard to find good impressions of.

In other news here is my current little IEM family:



1) Zero Audio Carbo Mezzo --> What can you say about an IEM whose cost is on the order of some of the ear tips in this picture. Great and well executed balanced yet fun & bassy sound-- even if it lacks the extension, depth and grandeur of the other IEMs pictured here. If you're looking to spend $50 on a pair of IEMs and your tastes are more musical than reference it's hard to go wrong here.

2) CFA Honeydew --> Super fun and well executed little package at an almost negligible cost. Yes it's a bit of an indulgence but on its own terms it excels. I listened to this on the whole drive home after demoing the Oriolus Trailliii and, while obviously of an entirely different echelon of quality, I had a great time with it and didn't find it wanting.

3) Oriolus Isabellae --> The IEM that currently owns my heart. Sublime coherence and timbre across the board, summit fi bass response and along with the Traillii about as close to a perfect tuning overall as my ears have ever beheld.

4) CFA Dorado 2020 --> Hit or miss for people, but when it hits there is no substitute. My favorite mid-bass response of any IEM, ever.

5) Oriolus Reoborn --> Early days still. At this point the best way for me to describe this IEM would be as taking many of the best qualities of the Campfire Solaris & IER Z1R and avoiding entirely their mid-range deficiencies via a deft application Oriolus magic.

LOL, better slip those BTS20 Pro adapters onto some IMR's for tomorrow's shot Reminds me I need to order like 3 more 2 Pin and MMCX adapter cables! I just hope TRN continues to make TWS that work with the same adapters
