I've heard they are the most grado-like sennheisers, and I already have a pair of grados. However, I need a good pair of portable headphones. Should I go for the HD25's or get IEM's instead? Mostly listen to rock with some classical/pop in my playlist.

depends what you are looking for. I love my HD25 but, lets say, if you are a basshead you might be disappointed. also you might need an amp to get the most of them, not really NEED, but they do improve, specially bass, body and punch.

Not a bass head for sure. The main problem is, will my HD25's sound too much like my grados that I feel redundant having both of them at the same time?

HD25s are great for portable usage (sturdy, closed, great sound); Grados are a use at home pair and even then can disturb those around you.  Both have a forward sound to them but the Grados are definitely more open sounding simply by design.

Probably doesn't help your decision, but you are talking about some very good headphones here.
