Have had the ATH-M50s and they are awesome. However after using them for awhile. (I use them every day for about 6 hours) and the joints appear to making a slight creek sound when I put them on. Also when I rotate the cup it makes a noise when it rotates.

Just to clarify. The noise isn't form the headband. It's form the joints it seems like.

I guess if they do break I have that two year warranty

It doesn't make the noise every time. The reason why it's bugging me is I don't want to put it on and then a ear cup falls out. It's similar to how my last headset broke but that was very poor quality.

You think I'm just over thinking it?

If it gets worse or breaks I'll send it in.

Should be fine. A lot of plastic based headphones do that.

My SRH750s creaked. My M50s creaked a little. And my friends Senns HD555 did that.

Theres nothing wrong with it. Unless you think it seems very severe, then I would send it in, but if its just plastic creaking then it should be ok.

Yeah, don't worry too much, as long as it's not going loose.

I have the m50s for a week now and the metal cable relief has already separated from the mini plug. Used some electrical tape on it and it looks great.
