Just a slight venting by me. Relative to other international shipping issues I've encountered the past few months, (so far) this is nothing. It's just frustrating nonetheless.
I placed an order with Linsoul early morning July 5 (my time/date); a Sunday. I just went their free shipping because I have spent needless money this year on "express" shipping that has not resulted in quicker receipt. Anyway, I received a shipping notice email the afternoon of July 6, so a nice, quick turn-around by Linsoul. The trackign link/service they provided was useless; it didn't really provide me with any useful information (in fact, showed no activity whatsoever). I finally realized I could track this package using DHL eCommerece tracking.
The package milled around China several days, but landed in O'Hare Airport, Chicago on July 10. "SWEET!!!" I thought, "I'll have this in not much more than a week from date of order!!" Yeah....not so much.
It just sat there for almost a week, I assume clearing Customs? In any event, the last activity is July 16 with a TENDERED TO DELIVERY SERVICE PROVIDER scan by DHL. The tracking page includes a link to USPS tracking which in turn shows a label being printed on July 9, still in "Pre Shipment."
As I said, in the temporal scheme of things, this wait is nothing. However, it still bugs looking at tracking with no activity for week+ long stretches. I am about a 7.5 hour drive from Chicago, so the package is tantalizingly close. It took only ~96 hours from shipping out of China to reach the US, but has spent ~288 hours in Chicago-land, not any closer to getting to me.
