Tell me, has anyone tried installing the old software over the new version?
On 1.3 there was no such problem with playing high-res content Tidal/Qobuz

I confirm, 1.5 is bad and do not upgrade because in Tidal it can't play MASTER quality; it is choppy and not acceptable;
I have downgraded to 1.41;

BTW : there are some bugs in scaling and in Tidal buttons or top bar is getting smaller.
Is there any pleasure in pressing 1mm buttons in Tidal ?

I confirm that downgrade to version 1.41*) solves the issue with high-res playback of TIDAL Master - but you need to keep in mind to bump up the volume for line out with max. gain and 100% volume setting (version 1.5 does it automatically).

*) Performed a factory reset (deleting all data stored on the streamer and resetting all the apps and settings): after downgrade go to System Setting -> Factory data reset -> Erase Everything.

it is consistent with how Chinese products designed by Chinese are developed; I like device but I am starting to dislike user experience and slow response; if a simple DAP from competitor can be fast&smooth then why this expensive and more advanced device is still behind after so long on the market ?

on the contrary, I didn’t like that in 1.5 the top bar was increased in size, in 1.5 it’s inconvenient to use the Qobuz application, since only one composition selection line is visible in the working area of the application screen! The android interface should be as compact as possible, in 1.3 tidel I did not feel discomfort in management.

It's possible to go to lower firmware, but it's not something we recommend for our desktop devices.

At this time, our software team recommends to keep your streaming apps at a lower setting and wait for a firmware update.

It was decided due to nature of the device, as it demanded a bit more customized system to assure it will work all properly. Our DAPs are kind of just phones with better audio circuit, this is desktop device with multiple inputs, operating modes, etc.

Looks like the same issue as already discussed here, here and here.

Seems that all high-res streaming is affected in firmware v1.5 - until Shanling releases a newer firmware a downgrade to v1.41 is the only solution: install and reset the device and high-res streaming will work again!
