If you have something moving inside, it can he loose shielding. It can result in the player shutting down or freezing.
Easiest fix would be to take the player apart and remove the loose shielding.
Hmm... Thx for reply)
Can I disassemble it without any specific instruments? As I understand, display is attached with glue, or not?

We recommend taking it to phone repair shop. You just need a good suction cup to lift the display (just be careful about cables connecting it)

I'm happy to report that after removing the loose shielding my q1 doesn't freeze or randomly reboot anymore! Thanks @Shanling

What I needed was a suction cup, a small screwdriver and a pair of tweezers. It took me around 15 minutes and I'm a total noob when it comes to diy, repairing etc.
The screen comes off quite easily, so keep in mind to not apply too much force when lifting it. The culprit is under the pcb, but you don't need to completely remove it: after you unscrew the four screws that hold it in place, simply lift the upper part of the pcb (the one opposite to where the jack and usb port are) enough to let the loose shielding slip through and fall off.

Having owned the Shanling Q1 and the Hiby R2 II, I can tell you that there's no need for Rockbox on the Hiby. It has none of the major issues I had with the Shanling. Also, with Rockbox you'll lose a lot of functionality that works with Hiby OS (Bluetooth, WiFi, proper touchscreen support)

Is it possible though? "Probably"

Ahhh... I understand. I have been able to decompile the update zips hiby provides to customize GUI elemets (they're mostly pngs). I wanted to see if rockbox could expand the customization even further.

Just wondering if there is a way to unbrick my Q1, When I was updating firmware to 2.2 last time, it got bricked. I've tried holding down up/down buttons, but I just get this update failed message :frowning2:

Nice paperweight?

Download this file:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ncj9GX5vw_QPyxclj0Nzh1I3hVJa2Cuz/view?usp=drive_link

Unzip it and copy the whole folder to root of MicroSD card, then try to turn on the player.
Really appreciate the reply. In the folder there is an global.xml file and a dir called "nand" with a whole bunch of old style zip files. Do I need to unzip those files as well?

edit: Not sure but I did what you asked, same issue, could you be more specific in case there is more to do?

Just unzip the one file and copy the whole folder. Don't do anything else with the files.

I did that too, same thing "update failed". To be clear the contents of the unzipped file you sent me had global.xml and a dir called "nand". I copied these as is into the root folder of the sd card I used with the Q1, just to be sure I also formatted the disk with exFat before copying the file and dir.

Then I press the plus and minus buttons, followed by the crown ring button, and release all after the shanling logo shows, shortly after that I get the "update failed"
Am I doing something wrong?

Just turn it on, do not hold the other buttons.

Have you tried turning on your unit without MicroSD card?

Ok, I just turned it on with the crown button with and without the SD Card, both cases it's just stuck at the loading logo.
Sending you PM.
