That's a shame... I completely adored that design statement in the M8 and M9... That little extra attention to detail... That delightful touch of professionalism....

I totally get there is a range of opinions. Personally, the swappable modules was always an instant deal breaker

- inconvenient (the customer is always right)

- a solution to a 'problem' created by the manufacturer

- a failure point or something to lose (the option to buy spare modules is money leaving my account)

What other manufacturer thought there was a business (money) case to replicate. This is a hugely positive change

What's the difference between M9 and M9 Plus?

Dear @Shanling I have a question, will it be possible to use this DAP in USB/DAC mode with my iPad Pro via OTG USB-C cable, without drawing the power from my tablet?

Unfortunately not, as the M9 Plus is running XMOS on USB input. So it will keep charging at all times.
You would have to get our M7 or M6 Ultra, on these you can turn off USB charging when using as USB DAC

"3.5mm SE & 4.4mm Balanced Headphone Outputs"

Waiting for full reveal whether using the swappable modules

M9 Plus will be using simple 3.5mm and 4.4mm combination, same as our M7/M6 Ultra. No more swappable modules.

What's the difference between M9 and M9 Plus?

M9 Plus is a bit shorter.
New Audio circuit (Different DACs, Quad DAC system, new amplifier design, different clocks)
Slightly more power
Better USB input with XMOS.
