Replacement battery can be ordered through our international distributors.

Then exchanging it, easier than modern smartphone, but needs bit of experience and heatgun. Remove back plate, get rid of the old battery(on glue stripes to back panel), put new battery in and just click back panel back into its place.

Due to limitations on shipping batteries, it's pretty much only possible to get them through our official distributors. You can contact the distributor from which you got your M8, they should be able to assist you with it.

Alternative is to ship M8 to our offices for repair.

I purchased it used and shipping it is out of the question. I have several of your products including the M30 and M9 and depending on what the M9 plus looks like I may be a player for that as well. Please help as I am a loyal customer. Thanks

Ok problem solved thanx to the @Whitigir patch.
Quick question RIGATIO, perhaps @Whitigir can chime in as well… I have an M8 and it’s running version 1.68. I have all the heat related battery issues including it just randomly stops charging. Wonder if there is a patch for this, also a weird thing happens to the player. The volume function still working while it’s playing. The volume stays the same and I can turn the nob either way as well as see the number indicator move up to 100 and down to 0 all without having any effect. I have to restare the player and it works, but this has happened 3 times in a 24 hour period and is not acceptable. Makes me want to just grab another player. Any ideas? I also had problems at the very beginning that my M8 got really hot. Then did a full factory reset. Since then I do not have problems anymore. Maybe try it too?

I can't remember exactly what that was. From Whitigir there are so many shenanigans. But I think it was something about the installation. But that was fixed with the software update as far as I remember. Perhaps colleague Rigatio knows more.😁😁😊😊😜😜

If your volume stops working properly, unplug your iem and plug it back in that usually fixes it. :beerchug:

Well, there is one way how to ship battery to EU, but the price of shipping is not something you will like.
Give us PM or send us email to info@shanling.com and will sort it out for you.

As it's used unit, would definitely recommend full factory reset, to make sure there isn't anything 3rd party apps or any other leftovers messing with it.
Try to use just the Shanling player, to see if the issues will repeat

If you purchased your M8 from Musicteck, they could also assist with this.



Gapless, we are still being promised it by the software team.

For USB audio output, it should be available for all music apps running on the player. If the HiBy refuses to do it, check their app settings.
Is Gapless working on M8 yet and if not will it ever?
