People, there is a difference between “recommends” and “mandatory” 😊
In the US and under Joe Brandon, there is no “Recommendation” only “Man” and “Date”….but forget it, there is no “Man” or “Woman” anymore. The only Date you get is “ManDate”.

What am I doing here ? Is it time for Ice cream yet ?

Sure! Let’s go Brandon sir !

So I formatted the SD cards and downloaded Tidal content to them on both DAPs once again and zero issues now. Don't know why it's not recommended.

Because reading from an SD card will always be slower than the baked in storage.

But in practice I'm experiencing no lag and issues at all.
One use case. Over the spectrum this holds true so any company is going to recommend to store directly on the device if you have room before using an sd card. But whatever, if it works perfect for you then great :)

@Shanling any plans on releasing a new FW to fix the problems. I have a lot of volume drop outs if I don’t change the track manually on Tidal, and the app crashes a lot. Thank you. I have asked this a few times the past few months and the response was that they are working on it.

Honestly, shanling isn’t the best at releasing firmware on time. The fastest I have seen is with Ibasso, and even so, recently there are bugs that Ibasso needs to tackle, but have yet to release new firmware either. I would be very surprised and excited to see Shanling releasing some firmwares by now

MQA I assume. It troubled me greatly, primary reason I jumped to Apple Music after they added hi-res. Plays perfect with hi-res ALAC

I have Apple Music on trial. I’ll see if it will run smoothly on my device. And then make a switch too. tnx
