All I'm saying is its a great player, stick with it.Software errors are not component failures. The hardware is great, the implementation is great and so is the performance. So replacing the M8 with a new one under warranty will not help, since it will have the same software flaws. A separate question is whether the warranty applies to software defects at all, which I doubt.

Looking forward to this new firmware that should be released imminently (?).
Is there a guide to gestures on this android system? I cant seem to see whats running in the background and not familiar with where to swipe etc.

Best to just play with it, once you get it, you got it. Takes awhile to get used to the interface.Just got my M8 in today. Pairing with MEST Mk2. So far, so very good.

I will definitely continue to play. Having said that, is there actually a gesture that brings all open windows into view?

Here we have some tips and guides for our custom parts of system. Rest of it is standard Android.
If you using standard Android navigation buttons, just tap the right button to view running apps. For Gesture, swipe from bottom of the screen and hold you fringer for a little while.I will definitely continue to play. You can find these information in user guide, that's included in support app and also in each packaging.

Thanks for the reply @Shanling.
Also, any word on potentially bringing the RCA module for M8 to market? Very interested
.
Edit: So I just experienced something quite incredible...listening to Max Coopers 'Surge' on the MEST Mk2, theres a sensation of the sub bass travelling down my spine all the way to the pelvis. I'm medically trained by profession and struggle to explain how this sound is being perceived / transmitted to this degree. Not appreciated anything as visceral on the MESTs until now... Coincidence? Or is it this wonderful DAP? I have a feeling it is!

Are you worried that you are "MEST Up"? Plus it gives you a new range of verbal responses if someone asks you "what's shakin'?"Thanks for the reply @Shanling.

Very worried! I've been sonically discombobulated. :')Are you worried that you are "MEST Up"?
On a more serious note, our perceptions of vibration are not just as sounds 'heard' by our ears, auditory nerve and brain. Super and sub sonic frequencies affect us, even though we cannot 'hear' them. Super-high frequency stuff can make us violent, angry/agitated, and sub-stuff can make us scared and affect our bowels. Thanks for the reply @Shanling.

The bone-conduction plus your brain can easily explain (I think, from a philosophical perspective) what you are experience.
Super-cool!!!!

Very interesting. I doubt that bone transmission alone would reach that far down as its relatively low energy. There has to be some psychoacoustic/perceptual effect at play here too.
Whatever it is, I'm very happy with this combination!
So basically, now, me buying the new MEST is a done deal... lolOn a more serious note, our perceptions of vibration are not just as sounds 'heard' by our ears, auditory nerve and brain. There's some lovely synergy going on with the M8, but it seems it takes most IEMs it touches to new heights...
Don't blame me for your new bank balance (or lack thereof) please.

M8 pairs very well with Mest MK2 and I found an amazing pairing also with Penon Volt with CEMA PS after many cable rolling

That's how we reproduce (not the sound reproduction kind, though)Very interesting. I doubt that bone transmission alone would reach that far down <snip>
This has been the 8 year oldf boy moment for the day on Head-Fi... Brought to you by Beavis & Butthead.. ( I mean me, not the comment I am quoting)
