I thought the M6 Ultra + Fiio FH9 was endgame for me, then I tried the IER Z1R and had that definition reset. The smooth presentation of the M6 Ultra really let both of these IEMs do their thing.

I had the FH9s for a while and ended up returning them. They started making a weird noise on the right one. So I sent them back to Amazon. I did think that they sounded really nice on the M6 Ultra. In fact they sounded as good or better than my Ananda's. I don't have a high end set of IEMs right now. I am going to look into your recommendation here.

It's a great DAP. Very, very happy with how it matches with my 64 Audio U12t. That warm Shanling house sound is perfect with them.

X2 for the 64 audio U12t. These are slam dunk bargains used. At $1200 or so for a used pair they are amazeballs.

Anyone know where I can get a (ideally tempered glass) screen protector for a M6 Ultra? I'm having a hard time finding one for it, even after searching by measured screen dimensions.

With very different sound tuning, M6 Pro 21 was our likely most neutral sounding Sabre. M6 Ultra is our traditional AKM warmish sound.

Is QDC V14 best match with M6 Ultra or newer M9 Plus?

I owned M6 ultra and M6 pro 21 practically at the same time.
Starting with design, imho design of M6 Pro is more elegant and more ergonomic. Yeah, the M6 PRO's display feels more older than on M6 ultra, but it was easier to use.
M6 ultra has a more squarish and brutal design, but the other moments show that M6 ultra is more modern device. It's way faster that M6PRO, display has better quality, newer Android and more power.
In terms of sound a can confirm that M6 ultra is warmer that M6PRO 21.
I tested them with Andromeda S and I can say that with M6PRO 21 the sound was more energetic, with M6 ultra the sound was more comfortable but without losing details, maybe it was because the bass weight on M6 ultra, I have to test it more time.
But as a conclusion, M6 ultra is a good successor of M6 pro.

Just got M6U yesterday. Using with 64 A12t+Effec Audio EROS is perfect match with who love warmy sound.
UAPP, TIDAL and Apple Music were running great on M6U.
However I had one problem this morning, battery ran out since100% fully charge from last night.
@Shanling any advice for this issue that I can intitial recheck by myself.

Never had that issue with M6U, unless I used it - it was steady and power saving..
Don’t use UAPP, it might make sound better(10-15%) - but it digs too deep inside the system.
I used uapp and blame couple troubles (fpga) on it. I suspect it’s mainly usable with andro phones.
I used Qobuz with M6U. It was terrific.
