Headphoniaks always jumps the gun.... In terms of specs, I think it's hard to say this is quite on the same level as the hiby r6, but the hiby has some unique downfalls. Sound quality remains to be seen, but at a 500 USD price, this really won't sell well unless you really don't like the hiby or fiio options, and can't quite get to the ibasso dx200 price.

I've never heard this DAC in particular, but I'm thinking this is meant to fit between the fiio x5iii and x7ii, basically, rather than to directly compete with either one. If it's a really solid value, it in reality will compete with the x7ii but be much cheaper....

If the price came in around $400 US it will sell well in my view. Keep in mind that the M3S is soon to go out of production.

As far as Cayin goes, I really like my N5II but the N5IIS is not well priced in my view.

As far as HiBy goes; well if you want to add in an impedance matching unit I am sure its great. Personally that does not appeal to me.

I have no experience with the ibasso line or other vendors lately (like AK). Paul at iBasso provides great support, so I would imagine that is worth considering.

It would also be directly competing with the DX150, right?

I'll be interested to see what folks' experiences are with the knob. The knob on the M3S was a major weak point, to say the least.

Yes, frankly I'm a lot more interested in the dx120, which I think will be a competitor to this. Unless you're a true believer in the DAC model being unimportant, the dx150 is kind of in a weird spot. I'd rather go down to the n5ii or x5iii, or up to the x7ii or dx200.

Ibasso does indeed have great support/service, but that's one of their products I find to be a little out of place.

Whole mechanism of wheel is different. Also it's used just as on/off button and volume.

I'm very much interested, probably about Christmas time.. But it will be hard to hear it in the UK without buying it and I'm very happy with the £99 I paid for the M0 and £199 for the M3s, so at a potential £400 plus, I'm not sure it would be worth the risk, but an better sounding M3s with the M0 Ui, does sound interesting.
