it uses shanling's own mtouch os which has no connection with the hiby os, so no mseb on this one i am afraid!

Yes, and unfortunately Shanling won't disclose price for now... Could drive quite a few looking for alternatives if price is too high.

As far as i know it will be priced between 400-450. And this still might be the best DAP for the money....

That seems kind of high. I thought this is competing with the Hiby R3? My hope is $299 ish ..

I am GLAD this does not use Hiby OS .. that platform is a dead end for me, and should be for others who don't want their DAP to be dependent on an application on their phone for any advanced function.

nope, it competes with the likes of fiio m9 and ibasso dx120 and probably the cayin n5ii

Yes, just read about the FIIO M9 and it is targeted in the $300 range .. It seems to be that this level of DAP has moved downward in price from $450-$499 to $289-$349 ... I guess we will see.

thx , the search begins for Blutooth. wifi, and digital transport, ( to use with a different dac)

For what it's worth, I've been enjoying my HiBy R3. I have not had issues with WiFi or BT.
