Shanling M3X Portable Player - Our smallest Android Player

It's issue connected to our app.
Our MTouch players can do gapless.
Our Android players can do gapless if you use one of many third-party apps that offers gapless.
I have just try the M3X's demo with Poweramp,
and found that it can't playback normally.
Does this mean M3X doesn't support Poweramp app?

Quick question on the search feature on the Shanling music player. Say you are searching for an album title, can it search any word in the title or only the first word?

Hi, please what exact issue are you facing?

In our testing we are seeing no issues with the latest version of Poweramp.

But I will say, at default Poweramp forces quite a few of its own resamplers and output settings, so you need to play a bit to get the simple output from it.

It search in whole title, not just first word.

@Shanling
As you know Poweramp well, could you tell us the best settings to use, and which version is currently advise?
(as you said that the last version has issues in your tests).
Thx :smile_phones:
Sorry, it was supposed to say "we are seeing no issues with the latest version of Poweramp."

I do not know Poweramp well, never used it above from simple functionality testing. From our point of view, try to turn off as much as possible in Poweramp, to get just direct output from the app, without all the DSP, resamplings, etc.

Thanks for your reply.
I have try the demo in one of your retail shop.

I first installed the trial version of Poweramp via GooglePlay
Then I pluged in my Fiio KA3 and played the music that in my micro SD card via the trial version of Poweramp.
In this situation, M3X worked flawlessily.

After that, I pluged out my Fiio KA3, and switched to the "pure-mode"
and found that the 3rd-party apps won't work on "pure-mode",
then I switched back to the "Android-mode" and used the 3.5 mm output for test.
Of course, I playback with Poweramp again.
In this situation, I can only heard some "pak- pak- pak-"noise in my earphone,
and I am sure that my earphone was in a good condition.
But if I used the default Shanling Player in M3X, then the playback worked flawlessily.

For the setting of Poweramp, I have only touch its folder settings but not resampling settings.

Has anybody installed a pdf reader app on their m3x? I have a lot of albums with a pdf of notes, would be nice to view them while I'm out and about listening to music.

There are lots of ways to do this, the simplest being to install the official Adobe Acrobat Reader. I personally use a file manager (X-plore) that has pdf viewing built in (as do most file managers).

You can also install Files by Google which has a built in viewer.

@Shanling

Could you, but any chance, tell what exactly the "Prime Mode" is and what benefits it might provide? Does it have anything to do with optimisation of system resouces and performance? I've consistently experienced a certain issue with Android devices (smartphones) and music playback which I believe might lie somewhere in this plane. Namely, something that may be described as a gradual degradation of audio quality over a pretty short period of time/use of the device, even if it's limited to only one application (a music player app). This effect "resets" / temporarily alleviates itself after fully closing / forcefully terminating the app to load it out of memory and then begins to accumulate again with further use. It can also be observed when comparing the sound while lots of background processes (apps and system services) are active and present in RAM/memory cache VS while as much of those are terminated/cleared as possible.
