... except the M3X actually has double the DACs inside the V60, it’s twice the Quad DAC if you will, which gives it twice the output power and the balanced out.
The V30 was my DAP for two+ years, and I agree with your other points. I would still like an Android device with a great, dedicated audio section, but every time I look I end up returning to my Qudelix-5K and non-Android N3Pro which I use in conjunction with my phone.

This is just confusion by the marketing speech that LG so likes to use. The ES9219C SOC itself is using QUAD DAC technology. LG V60 has just a single ES9219C inside, while M3X is using two of them, which can be used for Dual DAC mode and for Balanced output.

From what someone mentioned previously, google only allows the latest Android OS on newer SoC. As Shanling is using outdated SoC, they will never be allowed to update their Android OS even if they want to.
Perhaps Shanling can confirm/clarify on that.

I think that solves it for me then, too many apps will stop supporting that version early in the life of the player. My phone now on android 11. Will give this one a miss.

I read that from September 2021 some may stop supporting 7.1, shame as I like the look of it.

every single shanling product i have currently are OFF ,,,trash , not functioning .. Couldn't say same for my LG products they all yet working. If you like put 65 DAC inside M3X stil will be simply shanling .unreliable device yeat obsolete ...anddroid 7 ..What
