i would see this as competition for the sony A105, and the A105 pretty much disappointed me. i hope this is better.

If nothing else there should be no eu volume cap at any rate hopefully.

Been wondering about an M3 update, nice to see it finally released

Looks like a beautiful unit and probably sounds amazing. Unfortunately I have no interest in another android DAP after selling my Fiio M9 in favor of my current Q1 (amazing DAP for the price). I suspect that if Shanling ever gets another Canadian distributor a demo might get me to rethink my position. Shanling is definitely my number one DAP maker going forward. The Q1 actually to me sounds better than the much more expensive M9 so I can only imagine how good the M3X will sound. Definitely hoping Shanling will keep selling non-android DAP's going forward. Shanling has confirmed my long held belief that companies with an audio product pedigree make the best sounding DAP's for the money. The M3X at around the same price point as the Fiio M9 kicks its but spec wise.

Yes, you will be able to use Offline Tidal on M3X.

International release is planned for March. Exact date then depends on your local distributor(Audeos).
