Always so happy to see reactions like this!

Thanks for quick feedback

Can I post this as quote from reviewer?

And regarding OPUS #2 and similar, I will only say, just wait a little :smiling_imp:

Looking forward to your review! And always nice to see that our reasonably priced players can be partners for such a high-end wonders as Tia Fourte(even though I prefer U18 personally :gs1000smile:)

Unfortunately it's not possible while player is used in USB DAC. Also I don't expect this to be possible with future updates. But using it as USB DAC gives you access to much more advanced EQ on your PC, which should work even better for you.

You can also use this quote:

While I felt the M2s didn't quite meet the performance demands of the Empire Ears Spartan , the M3s brings out the best in these IEMs. So clear and transparent.

Uh, oh... came here looking for info on Cowon Plenue D, and then stumbled upon this thread, and now I'm hooked. Looks like it's $239 on MusicTeck right now. Not sure if anyone else in the US is selling it for less, but still, that's only about $40 more than Plenue D. God please help me...

Ah, I forgot to check with MusicTeck, before ordering an M3s last week.
Could have saved some time, and money...

This is my first dap, so please forgive me if it's a dumb question: can I simply copy my iTunes music folder onto a large enough micro SD card and the m3s will support the formats? E.g. m4a and apple lossless?

Both AAC and ALAC is supported on M3s, but I will be no help with iTunes software, never was friend with it. But seems @vinknight managed it

In other news, I spend some time around our factory with my camera and in near future I will be posting some behind the scenes shots from creation of Shanling portable players. Be sure to follow us on our social media accounts to see it! (links in signature)

Here is first one, first rough cut of frame from block of aluminium, that will one day become M3s.

Yup, that’s it! I’m enjoying music from my iTunes, through the M3s and my FLC8S as I type this! Good stuff, @Shanling !

Is there consensus on which is the better DAP between the Opus #1 or Shanling m3s? Other than my Ipod, this will be my first venture into the world of DAPs and they both look solid.

No offense to the M3s, which is indeed marvelous, but I consider the Opus#1 to be on another tier. There was a time when it sold for nearly $600, and I felt that was a fair price. Now a days it's a true steal.
