Why would there be a sound difference? It's a bug fix patch

Their are some weird bugs in the latest firmware. Small ones. Like glitchy things. Shanling already acknowledged that, but didn’t say exactly what they were. I’m just randomly experiencing some as I go along.

I have a question, do you guys know what the maximum capacity M3s hold through OTG? I'm planning to get a 1TB external hard drive and was wondering if i can pair that with M3s.

Since firmware 1.4 has unfortunately some bugs, we are not sharing it that much. It's mainly just as fix for people, that had too much problems with card reading error on 1.3.

Firmware 1.4 causes a boot loop with my Sandisk Extreme Pro 128GB mSD card.
If I remove the card and insert it after the device has booted, it works fine.
Even a device reset does not solve this issue.
Did not have this problem on firmware 1.3.

I was able to downgrade back to firmware 1.3.

I hope that Firmware 1.5 is just a bug fix and nice and stable, 1.4 is ok, but still has glitches...

Good thing I did not install 1.4
I only would like to fix the cutting first half of second on "cold start". Just some king of "delay" that music starts playing one sec after turning all circuits and amp etc. would be nice.

Fixed on our new system. Not sure if it will ever come for the HiBy system...


To others, 1.5 fixing all these ridiculous bugs should be hopefully ready next week.

In M1 this delay is almost zero, M2s similar to M3s so I assume it is a matter of AMP and circuit implementation.
Rather joking that real question but: is it possible to release your OS on HiBy devices? Or the infrastructure and work load makes it impossible?

Do you know if there has been a fix for not being able to disable ReplayGain? I've had this problem in both 1.3 and 1.4. Thanks much.

@Shanling I was wondering why the M3s doesn’t offer the 5th filter (Super Slow Roll Off) from the AK chips that are being utilized from the unit. In reading the literature on the chip, the engineers added this filter to the preexisting filter set. That makes me believe that they liked it enough to include it as a difference to the other filters. Why can’t we have that one too?
