I was trying to install the m2s audio driver on Windows 10 and the software is giving this error. Please help me solve it.
And also tell me the process on how to install (Do I connect my m2s and then install or install and then connect or connecting it doesn't matter at all?)

So after all this, I've decided I'll get a iBasso DC 01 but the headphones I want to pair them with is the ATH M50x and it came with cables that are suitable for a 3.5mm headphone jack.

So should I buy a iBasso DC 01 and a 3.5 to 2.5mm converter cable (will this converter cable cause a loss in quality?). Also, this picture here shows a converter cable connected. Can you link any good converters similar to this or this one? https://cdn.head-fi.org/a/10321273.jpg

Or the iBasso DC 02 which has a 3.5mm jack?

What exactly am I going to lose if I compromise and get the DC02 instead of the DC01? Can someone please explain the exact difference?

Please help me out here.

Not exactly sure why you are asking this question about iBasso here, but I will try to help.

To my knowledge, ATH M50x has cable connected over single TRS 3.5mm jack. So without actually completely recabling whole headphones(and drilling connector to other side), they are not able to be run as balanced. So using 2.5mm cable would only mean you are risking damaging headphones or the iBasso.

There aren't any connectors available on the market that convert 3.5mm to 2.5mm?
Would connecting this thing work out?
https://ae01.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1uXRK...ale-to-3-5mm-Stereo-Female-Earphone-Audio.jpg
Do you think any quality loss would take place?

The female 3.5mm connects to my m50x cable and 2.5mm male will connect to ibasso dc 01

It's not just about converting 2.5mm into 3.5mm, but about going from balanced signal into single ended.
At Shanling we recommend to use only balanced wired headphones with balanced output. Anything else is not proper connection and eventually can lead even to damaged equipment.

And just because you can find some adapter on ebay doesn't mean it's proper one.

Hi All,

I'm looking for a bit of help with my M2S and Bluetooth headphones. I bought a pair of Lypertek Tevi True Wireless earbuds https://www.lypertek.com/tevi.
These pair fine with my M2S, and work reasonably well except one major annoyance.. The Bluetooth range of the M2S seems really bad. I have paired these with my smart phone (LG V20) and can move 30 feet away or more from the pone and keep a perfect connection, but with the M2S, even moving my head can sometimes cut out the signal, and anymore than 5 feet away, even in a strait line will barely work. I bought these to use at the gym, but unfortunately a pair of wired headphones are still much better, even while exercising.

I wonder, is there a way to improve the signal strength? Are others having this issue?
I really don't think it's the earbuds because they work so well with my phone.

@Shanling, when using the M2s as a digital source/transport, is the low pass filter mode active or disabled?

Low pass filter only affects the build in DAC, no effect on digital out.

Hi Mr Shanling, quick question... can you adjust the volume using the m2s when using it OTG as a transport? For example, if I've connected a device with no independent volume controls, like a dongle dac?

Yes, M2s should be able to control volume when used with external DAC that lack control. At least it works this way with our UA1 and UA2.
