There is a symptom of the device stopping while searching for music. Please fix it in the next update.

Tried test:
Watch the device in a stationary state. Check with memory (hlf, llf) format and other memory. Format change (fat32, expat, ntfs), cluster change.Check file errors (mp3 test, MP3 Diags, foobar2000), delete files at stops, and delete files to reduce the total number. factory initialization. Compare when you put it in the m1s and when you put it in the PC. Compare root and sub folders
We received your emails before and as I mentioned, we were so far unable to replicate this issue.

As I mentioned in the email, the issue with scan freezing is most likely caused by some corrupted file. If you can identify it, it would help us in fixing this.

I'm tired of having to prove this. Have you ever thought about me wasting time verifying and testing all 10,700 songs? And don't you want too much from me? I'll just use m1s like a broken radio, but this is unfortunate for me.

Hello, we are trying to assist you with this over past 3 days over email. As we were unable to replicate this issue and received no other user with the same issue, the corrupted file was the most likely cause.

If you can also respond to our question in regards to what card you using, we would follow up on it.

Introducing Shanling M1s

M1 was our first truly compact portable player, released back in 2016. Later came the Q1, with its retro-styled design, so different from our classic players. And the line was topped by the M5s, the best sounding and most feature-rich MTouch player.

Shanling M1s takes the best aspects of these models and combines them into one, making for an ideal mid-sized MTouch portable player.

Updated MTouch system gets all the extra features from the M5s, including Wi-Fi connection and streaming capabilities, it even adapts a similar UI design. But this time powered by a more advanced Ingenic X2000 platform, opening space for future software development.

Audio section also follows in the steps of M5s, opting for a more complex circuit, with a high-performance ESS ES9038Q2M DAC, in-house developed FPGA technology and dedicated headphone amplifiers. Allowing for a high-powered balanced 4.4mm output, alongside the standard 3.5mm.

All of it packed into a Q1-sized body, based around 2.8-inch touch screen, nicely balancing compact size with usability. And featuring our latest body design, inspired by M3X and M8 Android players, with a new addition of front-facing playback buttons.

When all put together, M1s comes as our most featured and best sounding MTouch player, while staying true to its heritage of compact design

The USB-C port says, "USB/DAC". If I plug in my PC to listen to a music steaming service with headphones, will it work?

The album art enlargement function is not pretty and I don't know the difference from the regular screen. Don't you think it would be prettier to expand it bigger than the entire screen and cut it to fit the screen size? And it would be nice if the album art came out on the lock screen, but this is just wishful thinking.

Try Lock Screen settings and pic album art

It isn't that hard, I have done it many times, you won't be able to figure it out on the player. Take the card out of the player and load it on your computer. Scroll through the tracks, if it is a corrupted file then the file details will be messed up. The file size might wrong (to small) or some of the file details won't show up, or the file name will not display properly. Delete the file and then reload and scan the card.

You can't blame everything on the player or the manufacturer until you do some investigating on your own.

Yes, of course I did it on the computer. I checked the file, but there was no problem. In the mp3tag program, the tag was normal and the playback worked normally. I sent an e-mail to shanling because it was difficult with my ability, and I just hope it will be solved.☺️
