I'm considering the m1s for both local files and streaming. While Spotify is not native, you can still use it with Eddict Player (to control your smartphone remotely), correct? That's my understanding but I may be wrong.

Another question that I have concerning music playback on Mtouch operating system. Does the software allow you to play all albums songs in the order the albums were released? Essentially, can I play artist's album from chronological order from oldest to newest?

No, we have no sorting by the year within artist.
You can do this in folder browsing if you have the folders named accordingly.

The M1s itself will have built-in Tidal streaming for online playback (It will be bit delayed and come with later firmware update).

For Spotify (or any other streaming service), you could combine it with your phone. Running the streaming app on your phone and with M1s connected to it over Blueooth or even USB DAC.

This has nothing to do with Eddict Player app.

Yes, you can control the playback through Eddict player app, browse files, etc. Standard Synclink.

You have to wait for announcement from the M1s distributor. I believe it should be in 2 weeks.

Fair enough but maybe it would have been prudent to wait until you have distribution commitments before making release announcements. March 1st 2023 for international release announcement would have been a more realistic date with only a wait of a few weeks before units could be purchased vs 4+ months. It would have saved you alot of unhappy posts from potential customers like myself. You can't blame us for voicing our frustrations about such a long delay. When you announce a new product in October inevitably buyers would view Christmas time as a desirable time to buy one.

Where is HifiGo located in the United States? I have never ordered a device from them but the M1s is currently not listed on Amazon. When will the M1s be available on Amazon (U.S)? @Shanling

We will not be selling M1s on Amazon. It will not be in our standard distribution.
