Has anyone had any issue with connection to Tidal? I am able to sign on, see and play Albums, Track and Artists but every time I try accessing Playlists, I get a flag that it failed. I have even hard reset twice in hoping to solve, any suggestions are welcome. Otherwise, I may return the unit thinking something is wrong, just odd that it is only Playlists on Tidal.

For certain accounts there can be some issues with the Tidal playlist access through Tidal API and we are working with Tidal on addressing it.

I have had success by removing the card then transfer the files over and reinserting the card. Is the cable you using a 3.0 with the Blue insert on the A side. I know I have grabbed a 2.0 cable a couple of times by not paying attention.

Why does the cable matter? Nobody ever said M1 Plus supports USB 3 so it must be USB 2.

Just got a new M1 Plus.
Im old and have bad eyes.
I have a dumb question ...
I could be wrong but I don't think there is a a pre-installed screen protector but is there a protective film on the screen that needs to be peeled off?
If not, that screen is a fingerprint magnet x10.
I know there is a screen protector in the accessory box.

Thanks

I received my M1 Plus last night and it really is a beautiful sounding and looking DAP. It does seem to be bit brighter in the treble than my Hiby M3X but sounds fantastic.

It's perfect for me as i was looking for a snappy non android DAP with a great UI and it's exactly that. It also has the bonus of the Tidal app, i'm a Tidal subscriber so to have the option to stream all my playlists without the android UI and distractions that come with Android is fantastic. I was surprised to find that if connected to WiFi you can't connect to Bluetooth, is that correct @Shanling ?

The issue with the DAP not connecting to Apple Airpod Pro's is still there.

One thing i'd like to see in a firmware update is when in the Albums section you have the ability to group albums by artist. A compilations section would be great also.

Do you have cable for this ?
Did you ever get this sorted out?

For 3.5mm section, this pinout:
Tip - Empty
Ring 1 - Empty
Ring 2 - Ground
Sleeve - Signal

That is the old Fiio optical configuration. Fiio used to include an adapter with some of the players that had this configuration. One was included with my Fiio X5 III
I don't think the adapter is available any longer but maybe you can find one online somewhere. I still use that old Fiio as a transport for the headphone system. I built my own cables to use with it. It's a bit of a chore to solder up a 3.5mm 4 pole plug in this old configuration but it's doable. Unless things have changed again it's not the way a "standard" digital coax would be wired ... assuming you can find one with a 3.5mm 4 pole plug on one end.

Anyway, I've attached a photo of the old Fiio adapter.

M1 Plus comes with pre-installed screen protector.

Yes, this is correct, limitation of the hardware design.

Noted on the Apple Airpods.

Just wanted to follow up on the status of the Tidal Playlist issue? Thank you.

No update from our software team or Tidal yet.

Thanks for the pin outs. Knocked up a connector today for my Mojo. These two devices are made for each other.

I have a SD card that I have created M3U playlist files for the music on the card. How do I get the M1 Plus to recognize or Import them as part of the scanning?

I've tried to Import Playlists but it says there aren't any to import, so I'm not sure how to make them recognized.

UPDATE: I figured it out. You need to put the M3U file in a folder at the root of the SD card named "_explaylist_data". You then also need to make sure the path to the song in the file starts with A:\<path to song from root of SD card>. Now, when you go to Playlists and choose "Import" it will pull them all in properly.

@Shanling - I noticed that lots of my ALAC and DSD files do not display the embedded album art, is this planned to be fixed in a future firmware update? It would also be nice if I could re-arrange the icons on the interface to have the ones I use on one page so I don't have to swipe between the 3 screens.
