Screen lock option is better in v1.12 for me. It just lets you play/pause track and locks other buttons in v1.12 but it unlocks song skip buttons with play/pause in v2.0. I accidently press skip buttons while trying to put it to my pocket. I'm going back to v1.12, there is nothing for me in v2.0.

I am pretty sure this has been asked multiple times already, I am currently deciding whether get the Shanling M1 or the FiiO X1 ii. Coming from Ipod Nano 7th I'm well spoiled with great looking and very fast UI, which one of the two do you consider is more stable and have lesser issues? I have some quite sensitive BA IEMs does hissing noise exist on the M1? Cheers, thanks

With Flip Over Function you can now use the Back / Forward hardware buttons to advance a whole screen at a time. It's analogous to Page Up / Down on a computer and really speeds up scrolling through your lists. Now you can use the HW buttons to quickly get close to what you're looking for and the wheel to finish the selection.

Thanks for the info.  it will definitely help with a large library.

Just got a black m1 so far it's great, running the 1.11 firmware there are some occasional hiss it's not loud but it's audible hope its been fixed, will upgrade soon. Would be great if they made it touchscreen, the volume knob is awesome but I think it wont take long for it to come loose or fall apart now that it has become my new fiddle toy

Firmware 2.0 the static/hissing noise is still there, It's only audible with my BA driver IEMs I can live with it.

To Shanling, the lowest screen brightness is still quite bright can you lower the brightness in the next firmware update.

avoid xduoo x3, it has a very poor customer service and their product from my experience is terrible as far as QC. I bought mine and was dead. I couldnt send it back since i went for my vacation with the product and thought it will be my travel dap. They would not even sell a replacement battery for it.

I am thinking of either buying a shanling M1 or a xdu00 x3, which is the better of the two in your opinions.  Also would these two music players be improved with a portable headphone amp?

Sorry if my questions sound silly, but I am quite new to this.  I have thousands of cds but in the past have only used phones to listen to music on the go.
