New Head-Fier
V3.0 and 3.1, BT receiver mode is inconvenient. If the screen is off, you cannot use the wheel shortcuts.
Not exactly the same setup - Xiaomi Redmi Note 5a prime + KZ ZS7 / Fiio M3K / Shanling M0.Hey guys right now I'm using my kz zs 10 pro with my ZTE axon 7 and it sounds great but if like a small dap for gym so I can free up my phone storage.
Would this shanling sound better or as good as my phone ? Any other dap you would recommend for my use case ?
Thx
Thanks for your suggestion and idea. I worry the clip will break or becomes brittle over time.
Nice. However, too much metal parts may cause Bluetooth signal drop, please take note.Kept thinking on how to use the M0 on a watchband, finally decided to make a custom aluminum piece for mine to attach on the clip system.
It's way more secure and laying a bit more flat on the wrist as it doesn't add any more thickness than the clip case.
It still rellies on the clip, though. I Guess as long as it doesn't get caught and yanked against stuff it should be fine.
Antenna is placed behind the screen, signal gets through the screen. Explained by Franky on this thread some time ago.Nice. However, too much metal parts may cause Bluetooth signal drop, please take note.
I did explicitly mention it when 3.0 was released and Shanling sort of acknowledged it but I guess I didn't make enough noise about it at the time?V3.0 and 3.1, BT receiver mode is inconvenient. If the screen is off, you cannot use the wheel shortcuts.

Also, upon further testing, the shortcuts do work if the controls are visible (play button in the middle) when locking. But it's safe to say, it's a feature that is currently very much broken. Disappointed by this omission as this issue was reported when the previous 3.0 update was released.

Hey, quick question. You guys like the Shanling ME100 IEMs with the M0? Anyone has them?
Over-ear headphones are getting bulky for me, and I'm looking for something portable (but also pretty, some of the IEMs I saw are... ugh).
ME100 seem pretty nice, might go for it.
They get a good review on head-fi here
Personally, I use Etymotic HF5. I listen mostly to classical music but I'm not discriminating enough to comment on how good they sound -they sound fine to me. The main reason I use them is because they're the only IEMs that I can comfortably wear for a reasonable period with the three part tips. I've tried a few others but they hurt my ears - even with the smallest tips. That might be more of a consideration than the appearance....
After buying the Shanling M0, Fiio M5, and having the M2x on the way, I found the HIDIZS AP80. This has everything I was looking for: BT Transport (output to USBC with connected to phone via BT) AND the ability to control the device from my phone via HiBY Link. I'm eager to compare the AP80 to the M2x. For now, The AP80 finally scratched all the itches I had.
