Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6

I tried playing DSD128 using this device as a transport to my DAC yesterday. A big nope. It was very laggy even when it's left idle (not using the interface or the knob).
FLAC works fine though. (LHLabs GO2Pro Infinity with seperate power)

Can you please tell me, if you had DSD set up as DOP or D2P in M0's settings?

Just got mine (in London UK) via a well-known Chinese marketplace (am I allowed to say?) and all is well, lovely device (got it in blue, even nicer-looking than expected). Dropped firmware 1.5 bin onto it and updated, nice and easy, though very slow to download. Could reserved post #3 on the thread here be used for a link to the firmware page? UI will take a little getting used to but am sure it will be fine, would prefer a drag animation when swiping to go back, but this may be awkward to implement. Sound is good on first play, but haven't really had a chance to give it a decent listen or try out the features such as bluetooth. DAC mode didn't work out of the box on Windows 10, I had to install the driver from the Shanling site, why is this - I have a USB amp that didn't need drivers?

Edit: additional thought, while in DAC mode, could the screen display a play/pause button and be a USB HID device and send a media key to the host when pressed?

Can anyone recommend a good quality, short USB C to mini-USB cable?

Oh, will post firmware alternative link to one of first posts. But since firmware 1 was only sold in China, didn't expect I would need to do right away.

Regarding drivers, that depends on the USB implementation, some needs drivers, some don't.

Currently no plans to be adding any controls to M0 while in DAC mode.

Shanling make a short USB-C to micro-USB cable. Did you really mean to write "mini"?

Yes, for reasons best known to iBasso themselves, they chose to use a mini-USB socket...
