Shanling M0 Pro - Ultra-Portable Hi-Fi Player, Now With Balanced Output!
May 28, 2023 at 9:11 PM Post #451 of 788
Anyone know if the m0 pro is powerfull enough with the final e3000 or e1000?

The M0 pro can drive these two adequately. Unfortunately, the E3000 and E1000 have non detachable cables, so you are solely stuck using the 3.5mm single-ended output with them.

Nevertheless, you might get better dynamics, bass tightness and soundstage with a more powerful single-ended DAP/Amp.

Hi @Shanling
Any news on a firmware update?
Been a while?
As reported before there really is not much wrong with the player, overall it's a great little device pocket friendly and sounds pretty good!
But would be nice to see the minor things fixed, scrolling sensitivity, the odd Bluetooth devices that it won't connect too, the disconnect and connecting to the shanling control app which is not always stable.
And this one not being a bug but as mentioned before it would be great if the highlighted memory file txt panned left and right , this is quite common on the cheapest small screen MP3 players and means you can read all the file which obviously makes it easy to select what you want....this I believe would definitely enhance sales! as it would make it much more user friendly on the go , no one wants to be stopping guessing trying to work out what the file is in a large library when jogging, training whatever your activity is ...
You made an excellent portable on the go player , make it on the go friendly please.... pretty please with sugar on top :relaxed:

Firmware update is in works.

On longer files, you can swipe left to make text scroll.

My apologies indeed you can....
Auto panning better but this is virtually as good , thanks.
Looking forward to the other fixes .
Auto-panning works fine if your player has buttons and you got item by item. It gets bit more tricky on touch screen.

I am using my M0 Pro since Jan 2023 and really love it. 2 minor bugs though that are a little bit spoiling general experience:
0) I am using the device always on standby, never really turn it off - if that matters.
1) After waking of the device up from the sleep when it was stopped mid song pressing the RWD button (to get the song to start from the beginning) does not trigger the update on the screen - the timestamp is still in the same place mid song, while the song plays from the beginning. Same weird thing happens with the Play button, it does not change to Pause.
2) When the device is charged from the standby mode the battery bar is refilling from 0 to 4 in a loop, but after disconnecting from charger it gets stucked on some random value even if it is fully charged. I am not sure wether it is the percentage DAP was on once first connected to the power supply or the bar it was on in a charging loop at the exact moment charger got disconnected). I need to reset the DAP to get the value to be properly displayed.

If needed I can make some videos on both cases.

Has a clip holder been made for it like the M0?

That's when I take the plunge.

Just got the m0 pro - great little device, and hearing details I never heard before, but not enjoying the sound.

Vocals are coming through sounding muffled and crushed,
granted Im using airpods pro, (Im not a audiofile) but coming from using the fiio m5 and cheap mp3 players they sound more full rich ect.
also played around with the 10 band eq got a little better but still not great..

Anyone have any ideas settings for eq ect?
Thanx!

@Shanling - 2 suggestions for the next update...

1- swiping up for quick menu only works on the home screen, would be great if it could always work.
2- theres no option to fast forward (could fast forward on time line but bec its small cant get exact spot).

Its a great device just think the UI just needs some polishing. Looking forward to hear from you!

Turn off EQ, make sure your M0 Pro is set AAC Bluetooth codec and maybe try to increase the "Bluetooth Headset Volume" setting on M0 Pro.

There were requests we got during our old M0 and so far there was no decision to add these.

How long will a normal software update take, so many small errors (in each control unit, switching inconsistencies and failures), it seems that you ordered software from different sources ...

All software for our players is done in-house since 2018.
But the number of devices needing software grew a bit over the time.

Is there any english documentation (or better a video) to help get M0 Pro set up and working with iPhone (or DAP)? I got M0 pro today and I did pair it with my phone but couldn't get songs streaming.

You can check our Advanced manual: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cY3YKzEwtZU_fXWDL_gMj2Q-3qx8CxI5/view?usp=drive_link

Or you can PM me and I will assist you.

And are you trying to use it as USB DAC or Bluetooth receiver?
