Price????

Would be cool to see a lanyard with this. Use it Flavor Flav style.

9 hours plus battery life, gapless out of the box and podcast/audiobook support and I'd be very interested in this one.

So many interesting daps coming out in the near future!

If this has dedicated buttons, the headphone jack on the bottom, and amazing battery life like a Cowon, I'd almost consider getting rid of my Plenue R I just bought.

Nice ! although i was hoping for a new flagship. This can be a potential replacement for my Sansa Clip and will do nice alongside my M2s.

It's just march, still plenty of time to release flagship or two this year

I'm curious to see the battery life of this device given the small size.

You will be nicely surprised.

This is almost exactly what my wishlist has been for a new DAP. Tiny (~Nano 6G) form factor, touch-screen, new (Android?) OS, and not made by Apple :)

@Shanling - will these be available for purchase at any of the upcoming CanJams?

No Android.
Also sorry, not available for sale at Canjam Singapore or SoCal. Few weeks after them.

Does it have USB-C for Chord Hugo2?

Yes, it has USB C and Yes, it can be used as Transport.

So Shanling what are the portability options? The m1 had a nice case with armband (we need that for the m2s....). I presume this will have that again?

Unfortunately the solution from M1 was too big for M0. But don't be afraid, we have something nice planned for M0

Not confirmed, but allegedly, USB-C, plus both 3.5 mm SE and 2.5 mm balanced outputs. This is looking surprisingly awesome :)

Balanced outputs? Surprisingly powerful? Interesting.

No balanced output, please don't spread fake rumours.

Battery
Of course gapless out of the box, we are not some random Chinese manufacturer from Aliexpress....
Podcasts/audiobooks is something I would like to see in future updates

So checking 2/3 for now, good enough?

Sadly, there won’t be audiobook support because it has HiBy software.

It doesn't have HiBy software.

Is it different from the version of HiBY's OS that will be on the R3?

M0 has no connection to HiBy.

Comparing to Cowon Plenue D, M0 is about 44% of its size, less than half weight, yet more powerful and with more features. Not even starting about price difference. So unfortunately, M0 will not have battery life as Plenue D.

Any hints on the power output of this device? And impedance?

Very interesting about "no connection" to HiBy. That seems logical to me; HiBy has migrated from independent supplier to supplier and competitor. If I were Shanling, I would go that direction also.

Both of my Shanling units are pretty stable right now with their HiBy based software. On the other hand, my Cayin N5II is not as stable as I'd like; and I bet HiBy is not hustling to fix things given that HiBy wants to roll out two units under their own label. Not an ideal situation.

Sorry about the incorrect comment about a balanced output. I was just quoting a head-fi person who typically is "in the know".

Ok guys, you got me, will spoil more info. Output is 80 mW into 32 Ohm.

We still really like our HiBy systems and I personally believe it's among top 3 systems on DAP market. This is not about "taking them as competitor", developing our own system will mainly allow us to work with our players faster and to truly shape it to our ideas. We can freely develop more functions, fix small errors HiBy software had for long time, etc.

Or people who want to add wireless capability to their battery powered dac/amp

This would be really nice!
