You asked for possibility to create user themes on Shanling players, so here we are with needed tools!

With the following tools you can access firmware files and with that you are able to change fonts and themes of the player.

Always be sure to use matching firmware for your player! User themes can be created for Shanling M1, M2s, M3s.

As you've seen on the M1 thread, there are a few people who prefer the previous (4.0) version of the M1 firmware. Would this tool work on that version also? Seems like it should since it seems that its only changing graphics and fonts without touching the actual code parts of the unpacked firmware file.

Yes, it works on any firmware version.

Ability to modify font and image is a nice start. How about giving us the ability to control what file metadata appears on the screen during playback as well?

Hmm.. am I the only one who receives an error while trying to unrar the "Theme tool.rar" file?

I was able to extract the rar file using 7-Zip in Windows.

Strange...I also use 7-zip but received an error with that file.
Just checked w another rar file and extracting went fine.

I managed to move clock to the left and delete "Now Playing" or folder name string and make title font smaller.
@Shanling is it possible to modify Playing Screen elements location? I would like to remove Favourite and Play Mode icons and leave Title and Artist only at the bottom.

Honestly, I don't know. In theory if you are brave enough, you should have access to everything. Maybe replacing these icons with empty image should work?

Yep..that works now

Right now as you can see I managed to move clock to the top left and hide "Now Playing" and make Title and format/bitrate font smaller.
I would like to hide icons on the left and right to the title.
Small changes, maybe I will replace background when I will have some more time.

Additionally, right now we have access to localization files, so anyone can translate Menu as possible (imagine "Delete the f*ck out this folder?" ).

Btw. this "unpack" tool can works also with Hizids AP60, so any firmware with .upt fil should work. Aaand it's Linux, so maybe some smart guys can develop some nice mods in the future
