I agree with you, I think oblong (or what you call it) earcups is much smarter because the ear is not round

I think AKG is a little anoying because they are pressing against the top and lower part of my ears. So don't change this sennheiser!

I say keep the oval shape, but make the cups just ever so slightly bigger and deeper overall, because as they are now, the pads rest on my ear lobes, and the foam inserts brush against my pinnae.

why doesn't a headphone manufacturer make a custom headphone design? like custom IEMs, but with your ears and head instead of canals... THAT would fix comfort!

Qualia 010s were fitted to the customer. Without a proper fit they sound crap, with a proper fit, they sound eargasmic. So I have read.

Yes I am all with you, my ears is a little bigger than average and are touching the bottom of my 595 Cups, don't remember if 650 was better.
