Just got myself a new pad from Dekoni and it really helps opening up more treble spark but after compare them with the new HD6XX, I still feel that the new HD6XX is a tad more resolving.

Bit pricier than I remember. Probably wait for massdrop at that price.

Think I'm gonna try these as my trusty old 650's are getting a little long in the tooth.

Just joined Massdrop and ordered a pair for myself. I had a set of the HD650s a few years ago and sold them when I left NZ, I really didn't have the best gear to drive them properly and I needed more travel money. THIS time, I have the Magni 3 and Schiit Valhalla 2 with Amperex Orange Globe 6DJ8s tubes to run them with! And, I'd like to do a few of the mods which Jude mentioned to clean up the bass and give it a bit more herb .. so to speak. I simply can't go past that price for such a great bit of kit!

Any changes to the high/treble frequencies?

Got the elite velour earpads, way way more comfortable for me than stock. It does change the sound a bit (bit bassier).
Hi mate, where do you get those Elite velour pads from, please? Sounds interesting!
