Fair enough, I'm not looking to seduce my headphones, but to each their own :p

I'm not belittling the choices of those who knowingly seek premium cables, just trying to inform those who - like me - don't care about premium sleeving or stuff like that, that there is another way.

And I agree.   I've only bought one pair of jeans in the last 15 years, and they were some noname brand.

Well, I will be using these in a dorm room, with my door open, lot of people passing by.  Style helps with the ladies sometimes.  :D

Some advice from a slightly more mature guy.

The girls who are impressed by stuff like fancy cars clothes or headphone cables usually aren't the ones you want to have anything to do with :p

Unless your living in a dorm, then there's usually plenty you want to do.

Coming from a guy with zero experience with the ladies, this still sounds right somehow.

When my wife saw my new head phone cables she couldn't keep her hands off of me... Chicks dig a big cable :D

Well, $4.25 for a 4 pin male Neutrik XLR connector and a few minutes with the soldering iron in the basement later and we have a balanced HD6xx cable :p

A brief listen test later - however - and the difference between the two is marginal at best. :p   I'm not even getting the major bump in output I expected from my Jotunheim.

Works well with my Schiit!  :p

If anyone else is interested, I found this guide helpful.

It's the small differences that add up over time. I saw a bigger gain going balanced on my 400i than the HD650 on Jot. Still, gains are gains. I'll be pulling the stock cable apart to rob the connectors when it arrives tomorrow, the rest will hit the trash.

Playing a guitar with the door open, that would do it. Sitting there wearing headphones... uh, no.
Can you even make out the difference in a headphone cable from that distance?

In fact, some women put on headphones while in public to communicate "Don't bother me". They just might interpret it the same way with a guy.

Putting on headphones tells my girl she needs to do something drastic if she wants attention.
