Probably just busy. Or he might've got sucked into time warp from modding those Unipolars.

There's not much to say in answer that could be made use of. The K 314 are flat with an emphasis on treble, the decay being relatively fast with one spike of treble ringing.

Thanks. But there must be an objective explanation why k314, a 30 dollars in-ear headphone sounds better than a flagship costing $300 dollars, from the same company.

AKG don't know what they're doing.

Ok. I would take your claims seriously if I'd heard any other reviewers saying that k314 is a better headphone than k701. Right now it is only you, and honestly, since anyone can say anything here on this forum, I don't give a damn. Your claims are very hard to take seriously. Sorry.

As I say, I find the K 314 more enjoyable. What you're saying is you can't believe me unless you find someone else that says they too find the K 314 more enjoyable, which is an odd angle, and apart from being meaningless, really doesn't belong in this thread either.

What you've not said anything about are your experiences regarding the K 701 vs the Unipolar, a comparison you said you made and had found the K 701 better. Although you can't take yourself seriously on that according to your reasoning above, do share your views anyway.

That's true, I don't really believe that I have anything of substance to add to this thread. Our isolated experiences are completely worthless.

Anything new with the Unipolar vid? Or have you given up on it.

Haven't had much time to mod. I'm pretty happy with the Unipolar as they are now. I'd like to try a thicker disc on the driver grille, something like felt instead of cotton cloth, but I might wait to get another pair to work on. Don't want to break the only ones I have.

Now that there have been some 20 pairs of Unipolar sold on one auction site alone since the birth of this thread, one rightfully wonders, where are the people who bought them? Certainly not where they should, posting in this thread rejoicing their purchase post-mod.

A pair of 2000 with the power unit + a broken headband strap went for 33 € a few days ago. Slap the usual mods on that and nothing will touch it in price/performance, guy.
