I was really bummed to hear Sennheiser sold the division that manufactures the products I care about (high end headphones). But after the news has settled, I am moderately optimistic. I can see how Sonova has interest in acquiring Sennheiser. Not just for the name recognition, but also for the Sound Science patents which I am guessing are attached to the deal. In fact, Sonova would have no interest in deteriorating the Sennheiser product line, or lowering its standards. In sum, Sonova is not Harman, so let's hope Sennheiser's consumer division goes through a better future than AKG went when it was acquired (research and development engineering team getting fired, all production moved to China,or had that already happened pre-acquisition?), etc.
Please, Sonova. Don't **** things up. Many people love Sennheiser. Treat it well.
