when I was at Jaben, Claire was the one that showed me the ie800 when I asked I wanted the one with the most soundstage-- ive never heard an orchestral piece so real.

this iem is a must buy, reminds me a bit of the fitear parterre

Owned the IE800s since 2014.  Have not had the urge to buy another set of iems.  If these for some reason break down on me (*knock on wood), I would buy another one in a heartbeat.  As far as IEMs go, this is my end-game.

Headphones though.. is a different story.

Exactly the same situation for me, mate!

It's a struggle to find headphones right now since every headphone I tried has a different signature or is open or is really uncomfortable.

It;s time to buy the mojo now that price dropped significantly thanks to Brexit.

It's a steal frankly,and very good match with ie800.

Seriously now, Imma wait to text FiiO X5-3 against mojo, want to be sure of the choice I make as Mojo will need a transport, my phone is not for music, it's software doesn't let me listen to normal music without skipping some parts.

Regardless of what’s powering them they really are very good… listening to Kraktwerk’s “Electric Café" off the FIIO X3II their perceived visceral impact and body was almost on par with my Dynaudio Special 25s augmented with a Velodyne DD sub and they’re running off my Bryston power amp and CD. …only wished the the 800S were as much fun but they have their owns strengths…..

Help here, please, choosing the best match to the ie800's
(im a bass guy and use Accudio for eq) :

Fiio E12A
Oppo Ha-2
Dragonfly black or red

-is the DFr too bright for the ie800?

Thanks in advance!

Have you considered Mojo? To me it's magic with ie800 and I've tried a few before, Fiio and Oppo. Check Oppo HA-2SE! It is upgraded from HA-2 if you go for Oppo, It has a Sabre chip and some other changes that I don't remember right now, with the same beautiful design! Look for some reviews and see if it's interesting for you..

I would be interested in an updated versionas well. Although to be honest, I preferred the original Hd800 vs Hd800s so I got that instead. I have no complaints with the IE800 but I would be curious if they do decide to update it.

Hi All

I've just got some IE800's to go with my Questyle QP1R DAP. They replace some Fidue A83's.

I'm finding a lot more detail, but the bass after about 15 hours isn't as deep. Do you think there will be an improvement after a lot more use?

Don't get me wrong, there is a lot of bass, just not as much as the Fidue's. Maybe they had artificially too much?

Regards

I do not know the Fidue A83 at all but the ie800 are IMHO just boarding on too much base, I say just… but as it’s very tight, well articulate and gets into “sub” base territory while being extremely well integrated with the rest of the sound without imposing itself I have zero problems with it at all.

Hi

I posed the above question to Hifiheadphones.co.uk where I bought them, and they suggested listening to the IE800 exclusively for some time and then try the Fidue A83's. They said I may find the A83's too much.

Some people say that burn in is as much in the head as in the equipment and the A83's are quite large sounding (Bloated?) with the IE800 are much more detailed and accurate.
