Are there any triple-flange tips that can be used with the Senn IE lineup?

I have the IE400 and it's an absolute testament to Sennheisers technical prowess. One of the few transducers to impress a jaded audiophile like me and probably the second most impressive item in my Sennheiser collection after the HD800.

The IE400 will absolutely make a fool out of many multi driver IEMs with its single driver and demonstrates how well tuned a single dynamic driver can be.

If the IE300 can deliver 75% of the performance at its price, it will be the leader in its price class and possibly a few rungs higher up.

Oh, it does that and more! The IE 300 is a different tuning designed for audiophile listening, rather than the IE 400's stage monitoring, but it was also produced with very high technical performance that should impress!

Consider me intrigued. I like that response curve. And the MTW2 is pretty fantastic. 16 ohms but no word on sensitivity yet....

Yep! There’s one bass vent on the flat area to the side of the Sennheiser logo. Without that, the trapped air would act like a spring, absorbing bass impact. The amount of airflow is very tightly controlled though, so there is still good noise isolation, and good bass even with just that one vent.

Assuming the 3rd party cable's jacket (at the connector termination) is not larger than 4.8mm, yes.

It’s a Fidelity+ MMCX connector. It provides more connection durability by being slightly recessed, so that mechanical stress applied from the side of the cable is absorbed. Should prevent intermittent disconnection issues found in some MMCX connections.

I don’t know, but I do know the diameter of the nozzle for attaching tips. The outer diameter is 5.65mm, and the shaft is 5mm. Most tips stretch a millimeter or more so that they grip tightly to the bore nozzle, which work especially well when there’s a wider lip at the top (as here).

The IE 80S had two-flange lamella tips, it's possible those might work on the IE 300. Will confirm in the future.

I'll know for sure when I get one for answering questions just like this in a few weeks, haha. It looks like they just push on, and there's a little lip (almost like a barb) that helps hold the tip onto the nozzle. Seems to on par but with better tuning. Seems to be what both the 400 and 500 needed to be worth their price was a little work on the tuning. A nice part is the size...

Of course MMCX opens up some more options as well. To me the draw is this...

Shallow fit and still doesn't stick out at all which is good for on the go and like Jude said lying down. That is something a competitor like the FD5 at the similar price and single dynamic can't do as far as size and weight and barely there comfort. The FiiO is just one gram short of 3 times the weight on each side.

These are certainly something to keep an eye on even for those who love Chi-Fi and hold firm that all the big brands are overpriced.

I own the IE500 Pro and I think it is one of the best-kept secrets in this hobby. It is easily the most overall impressive single-driver earphone I've ever heard, even more so than the ER4S/ER4XR from Etymotic. And there's no doubt it outclasses many, many competing multi-driver earphones.

I also listened to the IE400 Pro which was a great way to get 90% of the IE500 Pro sound for 60% of the cost. I also heard the IE40 which retains many of the same hallmarks of the IE400 Pro though in all honesty at $99 no one can expect it to compare directly to the IE400 Pro.

Needless to say I am very excited for this product
