I'm sorry for having to say this - but you need both.
I had both (still have the IE8's) and the only reason I sold the TF10's was because of fit - I was going to have them reshelled, but I have some customs coming and they became redundant. Although, I may still get another pair and reshell them down the road as I really enjoyed their sound.
You must be careful about authenticity with the IE8 - there are more fakes than the real thing out there - I think the highs and mids are fine on the IE8 - some say they have a veil - maybe they do, but taken as a package - I enjoy the presentation of the IE8 for long listening sessions - the highs are sharper on the TF10 - but the combination of odd fit and pronounced treble can make for listener fatigue.
