Anyone interested in exchange of hp-s? Here is one:
...'basically if you have a pair of Sennheiser HD800′s that are in excellent condition and boxed we will give you £600 in part exchange against the new Sennheiser HD800S headphones, leaving just £599 to pay.If you have another brand of headphone and are interested in the HD800S’s please feel free to get in touch to discuss options.'...
Is it 'working'? Don't know

I had the same experience. Jan seems like a great guy to deal with though, and he gave me an unbelievable price on the HD800S.

You make it sound so bad - like there was a Flat Earther in the room.

This and that Tyll did not receive a test unit shows that they are selling this headphone like crazy. And due t the high quality standard for is product they can only roduce so many of them and no more. Before the the HD 800S was announced, my local dealer told me that since it was intrduced in 2009 the HD 800 was his best selling headphone ever.

Could be, that those 1000+ HD800S were 'smaller' release (to see how fast first 'set' will sell, or how is 'preliminary impression', possible 'problems' etc)... Maybe more-or-less wider 'worldwide' bigger 'release' is just coming now (February-March)... and all 'main' reviewers/sites get their units now too...

With the online discounts applied on my order and my estimation of exchange rates, it was about 12% off US list. That is, if customs does not charge me tariffs. Should I have contacted this Jan by phone?
HD800S just hit Finland a few days ago. It looks like there's a new shipment out there now.

Probably cheaper to buy from Germany though - no?
