My brother is a working musician, and has released a few albums with his band. He doesn't care at all what the finished product sounds like. It boggles my mind, but maybe what JoHit says is true, never thought of it that way.

Of course musicians care what their recordings sound like. They have much less influence on the recording quality than you'd believe.
Most are ruled by a recording company and their sound engineers and so have nothing much to do with production.
Maybe a Plumber knows more about Hi-Fi then?

I'd like to think I had something to say about it if I were lucky enough to be the musician too. Listen, I say what I say to highlight that you do actually get musicians who provide the whole deal. There's loads of them today. Artists who give a **** from start to finish. We rarely get to hear them though..
Peace. Happy Sunday night..

I think I've read somewhere that musicians are in fact humans too. so maybe they don't all share the exact same point of view on the matter?

Indeed. What a world it would be without opinions.

Would the Schiit Fulla 2 work well with the HD 650s? Or is it worth investing in a Schiit stack? Is the difference noticeable?

Or what a better world it would be if more people did a better job differentiating fact from opinion.

Don't sweat it. It's a skill you'll pick up with time.

Those artists tend to be the less commercial ones who work for an independent label or even do their own productions at home.
Then the recording is farmed out to be pressed onto cd, but mainstream companies almost 'employ' the musicians to make the noise and then want them away from production so there's way less interference from them during production.
Musicians don't have the rights that some think they have. They are in effect, employees or a short contract.
I'm certain of that, and I'm a retired plumber.

I would opt for the Schiit Stack. I personally had the Fulla 2 with my HD 600s and they sounded a bit underpowered and the bass was more underwhelming than usual.

...and including "alternative facts" too.

Better DAC or Better AMP?
I currently own SMSL M2 --> Fidelio X2, about to buy my friend's used HD650 + Fiio E11k for $230. Wonder which one should I prioritize if I can only choose one from DAC or amp for my upgrade to power up hd650 properly.
Currently have access to either iFi Nano iDSD(DAC) or iFi Nano iCan(AMP). Thanks

I would get the amp over the DAC for the HD-650, I've never heard the SMSL M2, iFi Nano Ican so I don't know if they are capable of properly driving the HD-650.

Thanks for the input!
Lets assume if you have Fiio E10k(dac) and E11k(amp). Would you opt out E11k for Schiit Magni2(amp) or opt out E10k for Modi2(dac) for HD650?
Took the assumption because from what I've read they all similar in term of price and spec.
I live in Asia, Importing Schiit's Stuff will costs me additional 20% in tax
