Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread

Hey guys,

It's finally time I made an account. Regarding the HD650s, I know there are amps that would make the "sennheiser veil" disappear but are there any amps that can make the HD650 a fast headphone? Or at least a headphone that fares well with fast music?

Thanks

If you want a fast headphone, you should look elsewhere.

As one of my buddy says so well, "you might put NOS in a civic, but in the end, it's still a civic".

I agree with Rem0o, this is not a fast headphone, look elsewhere.

Damn. I do want a fast headphone so it would be more of an all-rounder but I keep coming back to the HD650 even if I know it would just be best for slower music. Why couldn't money grow on trees?

I see you listen to Kanye West. May want to pick up a planar. My personal favorite planar is the Paradox.

I actually plan on picking up Luis's Paradox or Dan's Alpha Dog as my reference set. However my biggest problem is the rather unfair customs in my country. They tend to overcharge…especially on technology. I'm looking for a more fun sounding headphone to partner with the planar, the HD650 or maybe Philips's Fidelio X1

IMO, Either Hifiman HE-400 or Philips's Fidelio X1 would be a good choose if you're looking for fun sounding headphones, though I prefer the HD650 to them.

GAH. I wish I could get both the X1 and the HD650

IMO, the He-400 and HD650 are a better complementary.

I got a problem with the HiFiMan headphones… too large/heavy for my head…

Your neck builds up the strength. Seriously going from the Hifiman to Senheissers they feel like a feather.
